  when i was attending, an elder would never give tacit approval to a jw's participation on a website like this.

  back then procedure was a harsh warning followed by disfellowshipping if the behavior were to continue.. when i was being raised a jw, no witness in good standing, let alone a pioneer, would ever consider allowing his/her children to attend a halloween or birthday party.

  seems as though the days of "mental regulating of youth" are in the rear view mirror.... how great is that?

  Letting my hair down.........

  well today for the first time ive felt i can finally let my hair down and laugh and joke with you guys.....yup....you shall see the funny mad side of me too, that way you'll know im human (not a vampire) lol...... thanks guys......today was a huge turning point for me :) and im happy, real happy...xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

  VIII you really are making things clearer.....loads from my old cong and others attend funerals in churches, not weddings though...i'll give you that, not that its a disfellowshipping.

  dont keep pretending these things are wrong....yes you live in other countries but clearly things arent that different. Maybe your trying to make me see that the gb arent united world wide.....it wont work.

  Who Do You Think The Most Positive Influential Person Of All Time Is?

  do you have a personal favorite as to being the most influential and positive person that you appreciate?.

  some say fdr and martin luther king or churchill should be credited for making the world a better place.. some think al gore's enviromental crusades make him a leader.

  some love obama for trying to set the world into a more positive direction.. who would you say made a truly meaningful positive impression on you?.

  What if those df'd......could they?

  i've recently seen that some teaching have changed.

  so my question is, if someone was df'd for instance for divorcing there partner for having gay relations and this was years ago when there wasnt grounds for it, so they were df'd, if now because the understanding has changed, could they appeal and be reinstated with a public apology?.

  welcome peace dog... . good to have you on board, nice to learn how things were before my time in the truth and to see how many whom are now adults trult didnt blossom from the strict parents they had, hence we raise our children how we were raised, we werent pushed into being jw and we wouldnt do that to anyone we met on the street,neither our own children.

  They havent ever gone to bday parts or halloween, they choose not to, this way we wont have our children growing up saying they were made to do things, they are healthy children as im sure ones on here would want any child to be.

  I prefer reading from books rather than use cd rom....havent ever wanted one. I have bound vols from when i came into the truth and some older ones from a sis who passed away. Would love to have more. Thanks GG but how can someone repent for not screaming...I feel sick to think this could be correct....
